This will help you set up the Connection Wizard for  Internet Explorer5 and Windows98 SE

Click on "Start", go up to "Programs", go up to "Accessories", and then to "Communications" and click on "Internet Connection Wizard"

The screen that will appear looks like this:

Choose the third option "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)." and click "Next"

Choose the first option "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and click "Next"

Click in the box below "Telephone number" and type in the number you dial to access ACMENETUncheck the box next to "Dial using the area code and country code."

This will bring up the "Advanced Connection Properties" screen. Click on the "Addresses" tab.

In the section labeled "DNS server address" click in the circle next to "My ISP automatically provides a Domain Name Server (DNS) address"

Click on "OK".

Click "Next"

Click in the box next to "User name:" and type in your "user name"

Click in the box next to "Password:" and type in your "password"

Click "Next"

Click in the box below "Connection name" and type in "ACMENET"

Click "Next"

Click in the circle next to "Yes" and click "Next"

Choose "Create a new Internet mail account".... if this screen does not appear then proceed to the next screen... and click "Next"

Click in the box next to "Display name:" and type in "Your Name" and click "Next"

Click in the box next to "E-mail address" and type your email address in the format shown above and click "Next"

"My incoming mail server is a POP3 server" is correct.

Click in the box below "Incoming mail(POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server" and type in pop.

Click in the box below "Out going mail (SMTP) server" and type in mail. Click "Next"

Your user name should be in the box next to "Account name:", click in the box next to "Password:" and type in your password, make sure that "Remember password" is checked Click "Next"

Uncheck "To connect to the Internet immediately, select..." and click "Finish"
