Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 for Windows 95/98
Welcome to the Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 Setup Wizard.
This
will walk you through the setup to configure this connection for ACMENET.
First, go to 'Start' , 'Programs' , 'Internet Explorer' , 'Connection Wizard'.
Once you see this window, click 'Next'
This screen will ask you how you want to connect to the Internet. From
this screen, click your mouse on the button for 'I
want to set up a new connection on this computer for my existing Internet
account using my phone line or local area network (LAN).'
Click 'Next'
This screen wants to know how you connect to the Internet. Select 'Connect using my phone line' and click, 'Next'
This screen will create a Dial-Up Connection for you. This will be the
part of the connection wizard that will configure your Dial-Up Networking
for ACMENET. In this screen, select 'Create a
new dial-up connection'. And then click Next.
This is the Phone Number section, enter in your ACMENET dial-up
telephone number. Don't forget to take the check away from 'Dial
using the area code and country code'
Once this is done, click Next.
Enter your Username and Password
for ACMENET and then click Next. other terms for username are: UID, Log on name, or
Screen Name. Click Next to continue.
